我们来看一下本课涉及到的英语中名词的复数变化。
1、如果名词是以-f或-fe结尾的,变成复数时,一般要把-f或-fe变成-v,再加-es,如housewife->housewives。
2、英语中有一些名词的复数形式是不规则的,如man,woman,以及由这两个词组成的复合名词:
man-men;
woman-women;
milkman-milkmen;
policewoman-policewomen.

要想背好《新概念英语》所有课文,要做到以下几点:
第一点:利用每天早上的时间背诵前一天背诵的课文。
第二点:利用空闲时间重复背诵以前的课文,哪怕只是其中的几句都可以。
比如今天背诵第一课,明天背诵第二课。第三天背诵第1、2课,第四天背诵第三课,如此往复。
第三点:每天听新概念英语课文原文录音,也许你现在不能完全记住前面背过的课文,时间长了,这些录音都会深深地印在你的脑海中,自然而然也就记住了。这需要一个过程。录音非常重要,必须天天听!
第四点:不要抱着强烈的目的性去背诵,比如说为了短期内提高自己的水平,为了应付考试等等而背诵,好像完成任务一样。那样的话,用不了几课书就会把你累得筋疲力尽。始终要保持"兴趣原则","兴趣"是最好的老师!
第五点:《新概念英语》每篇课文都堪称是微型小说,市面上再也找不到这么好的短文欣赏了。所以,要从欣赏的角度去理解背诵,这样就不会感到枯燥了,当然水平也是在不知不觉中突飞猛进。
第六点:对于《新概念英语》中课文篇幅较长的,要分段背诵。人的大脑在一天中能记住的句子最大限度只有8句话,我们缩短一些,只背5句,滚瓜烂熟。第二天再背诵其他的。当天背得越多,忘得也越多。这就是很多人背得快,忘得也快的原因。只记住表层,没有深入骨髓。
第七点:利用电脑、或手写默写课文。好脑子不如烂笔头。
第八点:当你背诵时,感到自己进入了最佳状态时,好像只要看一遍后面的课文,就能立刻背诵下来时,要强制自己不再背诵了。把这种激情保留到明天去。蓄势待发,才能更加应付得轻松自如。
